This shipping policy explains how SP-Energy delivers solar equipment across South Africa and what delivery costs. Homeowners, businesses, farms, solar installers and resellers can check delivery times, fees and collection options here. SP-Energy has supplied and installed solar systems since 2013, serving more than 5000 customers. We stock Deye, Luxpower, Dyness, Pylontech and JA Solar, with payment by EFT, card, cash or PayFast.

Shipping Policy Delivery Areas

SP-Energy offers courier delivery South Africa wide through The Courier Guy. We ship inverters, lithium batteries, solar panels, mounting systems and cables to homes, farms and businesses. Farms in rural areas are included in our nationwide delivery area. Stock is held in 6 warehouses across the country, plus our main dispatch point. The terms in this shipping policy apply to both delivery and collection orders.

Estimated Delivery Time for Orders

Most orders arrive within 2 to 5 working days after dispatch. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays. Orders placed on a Sunday or public holiday are processed on the next working day. Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, online orders must arrive within 30 days unless agreed otherwise.

Installers and resellers can ask for a delivery date before they book a client installation. That way, the equipment is on site before the installation team arrives.

How the Delivery Fee Is Calculated

Every delivery fee is calculated per order, so there is no flat shipping fee. Three things set the price.

  • Location: where in the country your order is going.
  • Order weight: heavy batteries and panel pallets cost more to move.
  • System size: a full solar kit needs more space than a single inverter.

Request a free quote and we confirm the exact shipping cost before you pay. No extra delivery charges are added after payment. Get the quote in writing so the delivery cost matches your invoice.

Collecting Your Order Instead

Prefer to fetch it yourself? Orders can be collected from our main dispatch point. Warehouse pickup is also available in Midrand, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Gqeberha or Nelspruit. Collection removes the courier cost from your order total. Tell us your preferred pickup point when you order, and we confirm when stock is ready. Bring your order number or invoice when you collect.

Tracking Your Solar Equipment Delivery

Once your order leaves our warehouse, email inquiry@sp-energy.co.za with your order number for an update. Have your invoice number ready if you call, so we can find your order quickly.

Goods Damaged in Transit

Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods stay at the supplier’s risk until you accept delivery. You may inspect goods on delivery and reject items that are damaged or not what you ordered. Check boxes, panels and battery casings before you sign for the delivery.

Report damage to inquiry@sp-energy.co.za as soon as possible, with photos and your order number. Keep the original packaging until the goods are checked, as it supports any claim. Returns of undamaged goods follow our refund and returns policy. Transport damage is not covered by the product warranty policy, so early reporting matters.
