SP-Energy has supplied and installed solar equipment across South Africa since 2013. Homeowners, businesses, farms, solar installers and resellers use our pages to plan inverter, battery and solar panel systems.

Nothing here removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Section 49 of the Consumer Protection Act requires clauses like these to be clear and noticeable.

General Information, Not Professional Advice

Product specs, images and prices come from manufacturers and can change without notice. We confirm every price, spec and delivery detail with your written quote before you pay. Our solar calculator and buying guides give general information, not a final system design. They are not professional technical, legal or financial advice.

Savings and backup estimates depend on your roof, usage, tariff and weather. Actual results can differ from any figure shown on a product page or calculator. A site assessment gives a more accurate picture before you buy. Free quotations and system sizing are available for every home, business or farm project.

Stock levels shown online can change quickly, so we confirm availability with your quote. Confirmed orders ship with nationwide delivery in 2 to 5 working days. You can pay by EFT, card, cash or PayFast.

Only a registered electrical contractor may sign off an installation and issue an electrical certificate of compliance. Your insurer and municipality may ask for this certificate, so keep a copy.

Solar installers and resellers who fit our equipment carry responsibility for their own installation work. The key solar installation regulations South Africa applies are SANS 10142-1 and municipal approval rules. Grid-tied and hybrid systems usually need municipal registration before connection. The cost of electrical certificate of compliance inspections is quoted by your electrical contractor. It is not included in website prices unless your written quote says so.

Manufacturer warranties run from 1 to 10 years, depending on the product and brand. Warranty cover can be lost through unapproved repairs, opening sealed casings or incorrect installation. Lightning, surge and water damage are excluded from product warranty cover.

What is an indemnity? It is a promise to cover another party’s losses, and this disclaimer asks for none.
