Homeowners, business owners, farm owners and solar installers can read what we collect, why, and who sees it. We supply and install solar equipment for homes, farms and businesses across South Africa.

What Information We Collect and How

Most details come straight from you, through quote forms, checkout, email, phone calls or WhatsApp.

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and WhatsApp number.
  • Delivery and site details: site address and system requirements for quotes or installations.
  • Order records: products bought, invoices and proof of payment.
  • Company details: business name and VAT number for installers, resellers and business buyers.

Who We Share Your Data With

SP-Energy never sells your details to anyone. Only the service providers needed to complete your order receive the data they need.

  • The Courier Guy, for nationwide delivery in 2 to 5 working days to your address.
  • PayFast and our bank, for online and EFT payments.
  • Brand suppliers, when a warranty claim needs the serial number and invoice.
  • SARS and other authorities, when the law requires it.

Each of these parties must keep your data safe and use it only for that task.

How Long We Keep Information

Invoices and tax records are kept for at least 5 years, as South African tax law requires. Quote and enquiry details are kept only as long as needed, then deleted or made anonymous. Records are stored securely, and access is limited to staff who need them.

Your Rights Under the POPIA Act
